WordPress Cute Records

one comment

Display a list of released albums, or just one album with a track list, lyrics, MP3′s, and videos. The lyrics are opened in a Fancybox window (jquery). The MP3′s are streamed with a built-in flash player. Easily set image size and customize layout using CSS. The records can be displayed inside a post or a page, using shortcodes. You can also display a selected record in an area by using the built-in widget.

offset 0 (don’t skip) How many records to skip? Useful for pagination.

Settings

From Cute Gallery – Settings you can set the size of all images, and you can also customize the style of the record container, the track list container, the buttons, and the lyrics window. For advanced CSS styling, do not edit the file cuterecords.css. Instead, edit the CSS file of your current theme.

SEO Support

If you want every album to have its own page with SEO support, we suggest the following:

  1. Go to Posts – Categories – Add New Category
  2. Create a category with the name “Albums” (or “Records”, or “Releases”; whatever you prefer).
  3. Go to Posts – Add New and create a post for an album.
  4. In the Title field, enter the title of the album and the release date.
  5. To display the details of an album, enter any of the supported shortcodes inside the text editor. Use the “id” argument inside the shortcodes to specify which album you wish to display information about. Here, feel free to also enter additional information about the record.
  6. Assign the new post to the newly created category (“Albums”).
  7. Publish the post and repeat steps 3 through 7 for each of your records.
